Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Lightline Redlands Sunrooms & Patios website and the sunroom, patio enclosure and patio cover work we do for homeowners in Redlands, CA and the cities around it. By using this site, asking for an estimate or booking work with us, you agree to them.
If you sign a written contract with us for a project, that contract governs the job. Where the contract and these terms differ, the contract wins.
What we do
We're a sunroom contractor in Redlands, CA. We design and build sunroom additions, four season and three season rooms, screen rooms, patio enclosures, patio covers, solariums, and patio-to-sunroom and deck-to-sunroom conversions. We also remodel existing sunrooms. You can read more about our crew on the About page and find each service from the home page.
What the site says about our services is a general description. The work we'll actually do for you, along with its materials and scope, is whatever your written estimate and contract say.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free and come with no obligation. We usually give them after we've seen your house, because the size of the room, the condition of the slab or deck it sits on, the glass and roof you choose, and how it ties into your house all change the price.
An estimate is our best figure for the work it describes, based on what we can see before the job is open. If we find something hidden once work starts, such as damaged framing or a footing that won't carry the room, we'll stop, explain it and give you a written change order. We won't do the extra work or charge for it until you approve it.
Prices on an estimate are good for the period the estimate states. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update it.
Your part of the job
We need safe access to the work area, plus water and power where the job calls for them. Please clear furniture, plants and belongings from the area before we arrive.
If your home is in a homeowners association, getting its approval is your responsibility unless your contract says otherwise. We'll give you drawings or product details to help with that.
Scheduling, delays and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and keep you posted if anything moves it. Weather, material delivery, inspections and changes you ask for can all push a schedule, and we aren't responsible for delays caused by things outside our control.
If you need to reschedule, call us at (909) 488-7044 as early as you can so we can rebook the crew. If you cancel a signed job, you may owe for custom-ordered materials and work already done, as your contract spells out. This doesn't take away any cancellation right the law gives you.
Payment
Your contract sets the payment schedule, including any deposit and when each progress payment is due. Final payment is due when the work in the contract is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made. We'll always tell you first.
Warranties and what we don't promise
We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind our work. The workmanship warranty for your job is the one written in your contract. Panels, glass, roofing and other products carry their makers' warranties, which we'll pass on to you, and those are the maker's to honor.
Apart from what your contract and the makers' warranties say in writing, we don't make any other promises about the work, express or implied. Warranties usually don't cover damage from misuse, alterations by others, storms, settling of ground we didn't prepare, or care that skips the maker's instructions.
This website is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors.
Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your home or lost income, that come from our work or from using this site. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing here limits liability that California law doesn't allow us to limit, including liability for our own negligence that causes injury.
Settling a disagreement
If something about a job isn't right, call us first. Most problems get sorted out on site once we can see them, and we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation before going to court. Claims that fit small claims court can still go there.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any court case about them will be heard in the courts of San Bernardino County, California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a contract you've already signed.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (909) 488-7044 or send a note through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day.
